Trip to Asia

I went back to Japan the day after Doll's Festival.

Look at this beautiful Zen Garden!

Check out this view!! It's so breathtaking...

Of course, they had the real traditional Doll's Day setting here.

We walked a little bit more to the east...

And now we're in China!

Beautiful landscapes! We enjoyed some tea here while having lunch.

This duck flew from all the way from the Far East.

We also visited the Children's Garden.

It doesn't seem much from this angle...

Wait for it...

A few more seconds...

I had to run really quickly to dry up my face here (you have to make sure you don't run till you sweat, though).

I'm snickering here coz, they don't know that there'd be a mist coming up soon...

This stone device made music when you put some pebbles from the top. Very amusing.

I found these steel-made crow and apple! They were too hot to touch, but very life like!

Last but not least was this mini water fountain. I could play here forever. Mom said we can come here every month!

Doll's Festival

March 3rd is Doll's Festival (Hinamatsuri) in Japan where we celebrate girls' health and prosperity.

Mom made a feast just for me, Pumpkin Salad, Chicken & Tofu meatballs, and Chirashizushi!! This time, I got to try traditional snacks made of rice puffs, too!

Even though it's supposed to be a Girl's Day, I still prefer to play with my ride. This Pink Cadillac is my dream car which I only get to ride every time we go to the toy store.

This one has a working radio! Here I'm searching for my favorite radio station, Tom Leykis Show (Wait, that's my dad's favorite show!). Gotta look for KROQ (looove the Cure and Green Day).

Is this a brake or an accelerator?

As long as I'm surrounded by the color Pink, I'm happy.

Playdate with Grandpa

Grandpa sure knows how to swing!

Soooo EXCITING!!!!

On the contrary, See-saw is relaxing...

But my butt started to hurt a bit.

This isn't a real dynosaur? Wow, I never knew that.

Secret entrance to the castle....

This is tougher than you think.

Once I got through the entrance...

There's another one.

Let's check out the inside walls.

I found a really nice bridge.

Not so nice when I squat down, though.

Aha! This is much better. Come over here, if you like.

My favorite athlete

Grandpa, Grandma and I were watching intensely at...

Who else? My Daddy!!!
He and his friend, Uncle Pat, were practicing at the park near our house.

So of course, my friend, Izzy was there! She's quite a thrower, I tell you.
I think Daddy was inspired by how good Izzy was... He wasn't that bad, either.
But he is really fast at running!!!

Nice catch, Daddy! (not so good photographer is, my mom.)

So mom had to practice taking pictures on someone who moves much slower.

Izzy is pretty fast, too, so....

We held hands together to keep the same pace.

Izzy's mom looked just like my mom... I heard Izzy's becoming a big sister soon, too. We have so much in common, but I wish I could throw a ball like Izzy. Here, she's coaching me how NOT to throw a ball like a girl.
