Here I am after being in NICU for a week. All those anti-biotics and fluids sure did me good. Cedars took great care of me but to tell you the truth, it's great to be outta there. This is my first ride in the car seat. It's amazingly comfortable and keeps me safe from harm. I slept most of the way home.
Every now and then I'd look up and see what was going on behind us. This one guy was following us a little too close and my Daddy said something about it. It was in Beverly Hills, which happens to be my favorite place to shop.
Trying to wake up can be difficult sometimes. I don't like it very much because it takes a while and I don't feel like doing much. I like to make this face to let Mommy and Daddy know I need a few minutes before they move me. It seems to work pretty well.

Daddy was making me laugh and caught this picture of me doing what I do best. I can't remember what he did that was so funny but I hear most of his friends feel the same way about him.
I like to cross my arms and pout every now and then. It's actually kind of fun and it gets a great reaction from the crowd.
I was trying to burp in this pic and decided to focus on a point on the wall. This is my serious look. It'll look good on my resume. You gotta be versatile and cute these days.

This picture is kind of out of order but my Daddy had to put this one in here. I just got bathed and was given the stamp of approval. My daddy was taking care of me in the nursery while we waited for my Mommy to go to her Labor Recovery Room. Daddy took this with his cell phone. I think it came out pretty well.

Here I am with Mommy. She's giving me some formula but it doesn't taste as good as her milk. I guess this is just the appetizer. When Mommy is ready, I hear the main course is delicious. Plus it has things in it that will keep me strong and healthy.
The people at the hospital suggest I drink about 35cc's of this formula. Today I had 70cc's just to make a point. I still don't know what that point was but it made me burp something fierce. Something explosive happened in my diaper too. Thank God Daddy was there to deal with that.
Here I am taking a break from all that formula. Man, that stuff wipes me out.
I can see Daddy taking my picture again so I like to put on this cute face. He seems to get a kick out of it and I don't mind doing it for him.
All that formula really got to me. My little body needs all the help digesting so the rest of me takes a time out while my body absorbs all the goodness in.
All that nutrition puts a smile on my face. It feels good to grow and get stronger everyday. I like it when Mommy holds me and talks to me in Japanese. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm pretty sure I know more than Daddy does.

This cute little shirt is from Grandma Genie from Japan. It speaks for itself. It's adorable and will be a lot of fun to wear. Grandma already makes me feel very special.
Look at the little wings. Grandma sure knows how to make a girl happy.
This is from my Auntie Laurel. It's a DIAPER DUDE DADDY SURVIVAL KIT. She won it at a silent auction for my Daddy and he loves it. Everything else we have is pink so now Daddy can carry this while he dresses up in his Battlestar Galactica military fatigues for those crazy conventions that he goes to. He'll probably drag me along as well. I can humor him.....for now.

This is from my Grandma Genie from Japan. She's staying with us for a few days and brought me this custom made pillow case cover. My mommy had one when she was little and today it stays at the bedside of her Grandma Lola Tentai in the Philippines. It's very special to me and I can't wait to spit up all over it.
These are flowers from my Grandma Sandy and cousin Naomi. They made my Mom's Labor Recovery room look brighter and they smelled great. Grandma Sandy and her Mom "Bachan" are great with plants. They can make anything grow. I can't wait to play in their garden and help them plant flowers....when I'm not pooping.

This is from my Auntie Kate. She got these special Gucci shoes for me when she found out I was born. I'm only a few days old but I know Gucci is AWESOME. My poor Daddy is gonna have to follow this one up. I can't wait to see what other kind of Gucci things there are.

Auntie Kate also got me this Dolce and Gabbana hoody to go with my new shoes. I love it! I can't wait to go walking with Mommy and Daddy in style. All I need now is a Coach purse, but my Daddy can get that for me later.

Good afternoon world. My name is Momoka Emily Miyashiro and I was born this morning at 7:06am. It was a long and tough trip but I made it. After 9 months in that dark and crowded belly, I decided it was time to come up for air. As you can see in this pic I am taking my first nap after being weighed (6.5lbs.), measured (19 inches) and bathed. What a hassle that was. All I really wanted to do was hang out with my Mom and Dad. I hear they love Battlestar Galactica. I haven't seen it yet but I heard it all the time when I was in my Mom's belly. If they weren't watching it, they were talking about it. I guess it must be good.
Here I am with my Mommy right after I was born. She looks a lot different from the outside. I take back all those things I wrote on her womb. I can't wait to get to know her. She looks like she could use some sleep.
I think I'm crying in this picture because I was a little confused about breathing real air and having to eat and poop. That guy with the camera has weird ears like me. I wonder what his deal is? It's all so weird but I'm getting the hang of it. The poop part that is. Oh well, see you soon.
